Teams - 24 Hours of Freedom
Arizona's Premier Team Relay Race

Teams are the essential element of the 24 Hours of Freedom. The intent of the race is to have a group experience in which the same themes of challenge, tenacity and success which resonate for the individual are also true for the group. Teams can enter the race in a variety of categories, but most have 12 people who cover the 36 total legs of the race. The teams are essential to the support of all the athletes of their own team as well as the teams and volunteers on the race course. Teams typically have 2 vehicles (half the athletes in each vehicle) which alternate with sections of the race (vehicle A, takes legs 1-6, vehicle B, takes legs 7-12, etc).

If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact the race staff at 303-670-7147 or goforit@24hoursoffreedom.com

Joining a team
Many teams get their members by convincing friends and family and acquaintances to join them. However, often, teams find other athletes to run or handcycle sections of the course (legs) via public bulletin boards and forums for running clubs, athletic clubs and even Craig's List. We also have a forum for both teams to find athletes and athletes to find teams.

This is a self-matching system, so please be sure to also check back and see if runners have responded to your message or an answer has been posted. If you are looking for a team or a runner and you get a match, please return and delete your posting.
